Summer of the Dishcloth
Yesterday I finished the mid-month KAL for the Monthly Dishcloth group I belong to. The colors are Sugar & Cream Hot Pink and Summer Splash and are brighter in reality; the photo was taken under a flourescent light, which washed it out a bit. It was a fun, easy pattern and I like the results. I'd like to try it with more neutral colors next time. I'm also halfway done with the first dishcloth for my swap partner. I won't be posting photos of them until they've been knit, mailed, and received. I highly doubt she reads my blog, but just in case... I'd like it to remain a surprise.I'm actually getting tired of dishcloths, believe it or not, and am slowly moving on to other projects. (Yes, I do actually knit things other than dishcloths, it's just that the cloths are nice, quick projects and let me try new techniques and stitch patterns without a huge commitment). I'm all about the instant gratification. And so in the works I have some baby items, and I'd like to get to some scarves (that are not simply garter stich), a Moderne Log Cabin Blanket and eventually the Flying Geese Blanket (both from Mason-Dixon Knitting). No idea when I will actually have the time to do all of this, but at least I have plans. It's always good to have plans.

That's how I felt about dishcloth's for a long time... I knitted so many of them for the same reasons. Then I moved up to socks... now I'm getting burned out on socks. Gah! What's next!? :) I love this dishcloth, very unique pattern. I hunted down the yahoo! group and joined up.
By the way, my personal blog is going again (non-vox) and you can link to it now if you want. :)
