Party Boys
Well, I think yesterday's party was a success! The food was delicious (even better since I didn't have to make a darn thing except fruit salad and sangria, woot!), the boys were totally spoiled, and there were minimal meltdowns. I didn't get to take many photos, but luckily Lisanne did! You can see hers here. (Thanks again for taking pictures, Lisanne!)The sangria was a huge hit. It's from the current issue of Everyday Food. Basically, it's a bottle of Pinot Grigio, 1/4 cup brandy (I just used good old E&J), 1/4 cup sugar, a can of seltzer, and sliced peaches and honeydew. It was a nice change from regular sangria made with burgundy! The BBQ was a hit, as well. We had a good bit leftover, too, which I enjoyed for lunch. :-)
Last night Drew and I cleaned up a little, but basically just zonked out with leftover ice cream cake once the boys were in bed. I fell asleep on the couch around 8:30! Today I finished cleaning everything up, organizing toys and clothes, and getting the house back in order. The boys have been having fun playing with their new toys, as you can imagine!
Oops -- sounds like Noah is waking up from his nap. Hope everyone had a great weekend!

I'm so glad they had a wonderful day! It sounds like a good time was had by everyone :)
I'm *so* trying that sangria recipe after my pregnancy! LOL! :)
There was a great restaurant in NYC called Torremolimos I think. It was where I first had Sangria. They used triple sec, soda and lots of fresh fruits. The had live music, a roving guitarist - very special, very Espania...Thanks for your recipe. I'll try it tonight!
